We are honored to announce that Buhm-Suk Baek, board member of Human Asia, has been elected as Chair of the United Nations Human Rights Council Advisory Committee.
Since 2020, Prof. Baek has served as a member of the Advisory Committee of the United Nations Human Rights Council. On February 10, he was also elected Chair of the Working Group on Communications of the Human Rights Council.
His election as Chair is expected to make a significant contribution to enhancing the Republic of Korea’s international standing in the field of the protection and promotion of human rights.
