Human Asia conducted a computer and Microsoft Office training seminar at the Yapang & Pag-asa ICT Empowerment Center as part of the "KOICA Project for Mitigating the Digital Divide in Education for Ethnic Minority Students in the Philippines".
The seminar was delivered by an invited instructor who previously served as an ICT professor at Occidental Mindoro Stated College (OMSC), and was attended by students enrolled in the ICT Capacity Building Center.
During the session, participants learned about the structure and basic operation of computers, as well as how to use Microsoft Word. Following the lecture, students were divided into groups to engage in hands-on practice.
At the beginning of the seminar, many students experienced difficulties using the mouse and keyboard and were unfamiliar with basic operations. However, as the practical sessions progressed, they asked questions and gradually learned to use various functions.
Some of the students at the ICT Capacity Building Center are preparing to enter university this year. Human Asia will continue to support their growth by providing access to diverse digital learning environments until their enrollment.
