We launched the ASEAN Card News Contest in 2024, bringing together youth from diverse countries—including the Philippines, Nepal, Indonesia, and Vietnam—to strengthen human rights sensitivity and social responsibility across the ASEAN region. Building on this momentum, the initiative expanded into the Asian Card News Contest.

From 2025 onward, we have broadened participation beyond ASEAN to include East Asia, South Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East, enabling more young people across Asia to raise their voices on human rights issues. Through this process, we support participants in directly researching human rights issues in Asia and producing card news–format content, contributing to the creative expression and wider dissemination of these issues.
